Barbara Hois teaches flute, chamber music and Alexander Technique at University of Pittsburgh. Her music degrees are in Music Education from Arizona State University (BME 1981) and Flute Performance from Cincinnati Conservatory (MM 1984). Coming to Pittsburgh in 1984 as a member of the Con Spirito Woodwind Quintet, she also played in many local orchestras. Her Alexander Technique training is from The Alexander Foundation in Philadelphia (AT Certification 1995). She also teaches Alexander Technique at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy and Chautauqua Institution.
