Julie is a University of Pittsburgh Department of Music alum; she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Global and Popular Music) in May 2021. She graduated with a Master of Education from Carlow University in December 2022. 

As academic administrator, Julie works with the Chair, Directors of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, faculty, the Department Administrator, and other Department staff to coordinate course scheduling, course management and maintenance, registration, final exam and grade logistics, room scheduling, etc.
