I am a composer and PhD student in Composition and Theory interested in the total experience of both performer and listener. Underlying my work is the knowledge that performance and listening are embodied, meaning that all our senses can be engaged in an artistic experience. My work often intersects with film, theater, and semiotics. In February 2020 TAK Ensemble premiered my experimental music theater work, whereas. I'm currently writing another work of experimental music theater for pianist, audio of speech, and projected text inspired by the work of renowned acting pedagogue Sanford Meisner.

My music has been performed by the Da Capo Chamber Players, Julia Den Boer, Miranda Cuckson, Dolce Wind Quintet, Duo Cortona, TAK Ensemble, Peter Bloom and many others. I have attended Wintergreen Composers' Retreat and Snow Pond Composers' Festival as well as been accepted to New Music on the Point and the São Paulo Contemporary Composers Festival. I hold a MM in Theory/Composition from East Carolina University and a BA in Piano and Theory/Composition from Campbell University.
