Pittsburgh's Collective Legacy Project provides IonSound Project's programming inspiration, and centers around a video interview of one man's life spannning from childhood to adulthood — encompassing global crisis, personal achievements, and deep intimacy with family. Repertoire will include Michael Cohen's powerful and moving work "I Remember", and will feature beloved Pittsburgh vocalist Daphne Alderson. IonSound has commissioned composer Patrick Burke to write an original work inspired by this man's life, and the piece will receive it's world premiere on the program.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for students and seniors, and will be sold at the door. As always, Pitt students can attend free of charge with student ID.
