"Happy Hour!" serves as the culmination of a three part collaboration between IonSound Project and several local gastro hot spots in Pittsburgh. The final concert in March brings the ensemble back to their home in Bellefield Hall with a program featuring music by Zahab, Mompou, Szymanowski and Oriana Webb. The works were chosen specifically to highlight the aspect of "clear finishes" and "luminous ruminations."
The next Thursday noon recital features music by Reger, Grieg, Zaninelli, and new works by student composers (performed by the composers!)

The program will include music by Nizan Leibovich, Lu Han Li, John Petrucelli, Brian Riodan, and Jeff Weston. The program features sounds ranging from classic chamber music combinations (like flute and piano) to ensembles combining pipa (a Chinese plucked instrument similar to a lute) and laptop. You're sure to be surprised by what you hear!
