Women’s Choral Ensemble Spring Concert

wcefull.JPG Heinz Chapel, free The University of Pittsburgh Women’s Choral Ensemble, directed by Lorraine Milovac, will perform a diverse program for their upcoming spring concert. The program will include madrigals, sacred music and gospel, folk songs from around the world, and music by Rogers and Hart and Irving Berlin. The program takes place on Sunday, April 6 at 3 p.m. at Heinz Chapel. The concert is free to the public. Founded in 1927, Pitt’s Women's Choral Ensemble is open to all women of the University community, including undergraduates, graduate students, and staff. The ensemble leads the traditional lamplighter processional for all University young women each fall and performs each semester on campus. The group brings together women of all disciplines, and performs repertory ranging from traditional sacred and secular classics to international folk songs, popular music, and show tunes.
