Music department faculty composer Amy Williams and Helena Bugallo will give the premiere of Williams' new composition Crossings for the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society this Sunday. Williams was one of four composers commissioned by the Chamber Music Society in celebration of Pittsburgh's 250th anniversary. Other composers commissioned include David Stock, Albert Glinsky, and Pitt PhD student Mark Fromm. The concert takes place on Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. in Frick Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are available through ProArts and at the door.
