Men’s Glee Club 125th Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the University of Pittsburgh Men's Glee Club. The Men's Glee Club, founded in 1890, is the oldest non-athletic extracurricular activity on campus. The Anniversary Celebration Concert will feature works by Gallus, Croce, Mozart, and Mendelssohn, as well as selections from the broadway musicals, West Side Story and Carousel. Furthermore, the Glee Club will premiere a newly commissioned work by Rosephanye Powell, Bright is The Ring of Words, with text by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Men’s Glee Club Holiday Concert

The Men's Glee Club Holiday Concert will feature guest soprano Katy Williams and the Steel City Men's Chorale. The program will include works by Manz, Praetorius, Rachmaninoff, Reger, and Salamone Rossi as well as carols from England, Ireland and Catalonia.

Pitt Arts Arts Festival

On Friday, September 6, the Pitt Arts Arts Festival will take place at the William Pitt Union from noon–5:30 p.m. This year, the Arts Festival will feature two outstanding Department of Music Ensembles: the University Gamelan and the Men's Glee Glub. Live music performances by these and other groups will take place throughout the afternoon on the east porch of the William Pitt Union (facing the Cathedral). Pitt Arts will also have a photobooth on the WPU lawn.
