African Music and Dance Ensemble Spring Concert

The Pitt African Music and Dance Ensemble (PAMDE) will present both traditional and popular music of Africa for its spring concert.

Tributo a Chile

Acclaimed visiting musicians Rodrigo Invernizzi, Orion Morales, Ella Ponce and Daniel Fuenzalida will conclude a week-long residency at the University of Pittsburgh with a free recital to share their music and experience with students, faculty and the general public.  On piano, vibraphone, bass, guitar and percussion, they will play South American songs and original compositions that are inspired in roots music of Chile and the Andes.

World Music Festival

Pitt’s Gamelan, Carpathian Music Ensemble, and African Music and Dance Ensemble present an afternoon of music, dancing, and food. With special guest Sounds of Steel, a steel drum band from Urban Pathaways Charter School.
