The University of Pittsburgh's Financial Aid Office administers undergraduate financial aid packages, including need-based aid, loans, and scholarships. Department of Music ScholarshipsThe Department of Music awards several endowed scholarships on the basis of merit. These include: The Mildred Miller Posvar Scholarship awarded to a student entering the senior year who is a resident of Pennsylvania, for outstanding performance in music, preferably studying piano or voice. The Alfred d'Auberge Scholarship is awarded for achievement in music performance or scholarship. The Anita J. Curka Scholarship is awarded to a student entering the junior or senior year who is a resident of Pennsylvania and preferably studying piano or voice, for outstanding performance in music. The Mellon-Pitt Jazz Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student in jazz studies. The Gluck Student Assistance Fund is awarded to support the educational efforts of worthy students. It can be used for either undergraduate or graduate students who have demonstrated effort and proficiency. It can be used for books, instruments, fees, supplies, or any other beneficial purpose. |
