IonSound Project: Overhear/Here

March 24, 2018 - 7:00pm

This spring, IonSound Project joins forces with a fantastic team of social practice artists to present “OverHear/OverHere”. With the help of poet Joy Katz and theater director/practitioner Cynthia Croot, the ensemble’s spring concert revels in bringing music to unexpected places and encourages audience members to participate in and play around with concert-going traditions.

Keep an eye out for surprise musical samplings around Pittsburgh that emerge in places where music may not normally be heard. Then join us for the culminating event on March 24th at 7pm in Bellefield Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Works include Michael Torke, Bohuslav Martinu, Roger Zahab, Steve Reich and a new work by Jason Treuting. Audience members will have the chance to interact in subtle ways with IonSound musicians through works that encourage audience participation.

Suggested donations: General admission $20, non-Pitt students/seniors $15, Pitt students and children under 12 free.
