Most of us take advantage of the Memorial Day weekend to relax, catch up with friends, and fire up the grill, but not the members of the Women’s Choral Ensemble and director Lorraine Milovac. They’ll be working harder than ever as they give a series of concerts that weekend in the Chicago area.
According to WCE member Emily Polakowski the tour is, “significant for the choir as it will be our first trip outside of the area. We are very excited!”
The women will start their tour on May 26th at Grace United Methodist Church in Naperville Illinois with a performance during the 11.am. Sunday service. That same afternoon they travel to Lansing, Illinois to participate in the Serbian Singing Federation Festival with a 1 p.m. performance. On May 27, the ensemble wraps up its tour at the Sun City Retirement Community in Huntely.
If you are a Pitt alum living in the Chicago area, we encourage you to come out and hear the Women’s Choral Ensemble and celebrate this milestone with them.
