Pitt Men’s Glee Club and Pappert Men’s Chorale present Rheinberger’s Mass in F and holiday music

On Friday November 30, the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Glee Club and director Richard Teaster will present Joseph Rheinberger’s Mass in F, Op. 190, with organist Donald Fellows. Duquesne University’s Pappert Men’s Chorale will also join the Glee Club as guest artists. Along with the Rehinberger Mass, the program will feature a variety of holiday music, including carols from Austria, Italy, and France and American holiday classics. Craig Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15213, behind St. Paul’s Cathedral). General admission is $10, student and senior admission is $5, Pitt students are admitted free with I.D. Tickets are available at the door. The Men’s Glee club, founded in 1890, is the oldest non-athletic extracurricular activity on campus. The club has enjoyed successful tours throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Their 2007 European tour was the club’s first visit to Europe since 1990. They have been musical guests at two World’s Fairs, and continue to be featured in various television and radio appearances, including a spot on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. The club has been recorded for radio broadcast locally by WWWS-FM and WQED-FM, and featured as part of WQED’s Performance in Pittsburgh series.
