Position: Lecturer in Ethnomusicology; full-time, non-tenure stream; renewable.

Our beloved Geri A. Allen, Associate Professor and Director of Jazz Studies, passed away June 27, 2017 after a year-long battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by family and life-long friends.

Faculty members Mathew Rosenblum and Michael Heller will each participate in interdisciplinary presentations by the Department of English during the month of September.

We are saddened to share the news that Claudia Tullia Pinza Bozzolla, Pitt’s long-time teacher of voice, has passed away.  She began teaching classical voice for the Music Department in 1979, following a distinguished career as a leading soprano in Europe and America.
