Please join us as we continue to serenade Giant Eagle Market District shoppers this Saturday, November 10. Pitt Students Kerrith Livengood, Ben Harris, Amanda Adametz, and Callah Antonetti will perform at Giant Eagle in the South Hills Village from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If the South Hills is too far away or just a skosh too early, check out Pitt students Joe Liu and Kristen Pueschel, and Pitt Alumni Amy Feinstein and (yours truly) Jennifer Sternick at the Shadyside Market District between 1 p.m.
University of Pittsburgh students and alumni will perform at Giant Eagle Market District stores during all Saturdays throughout November. Giant Eagle has two Market District stores, one located at 5550 Centre Ave. in Shadyside, and a second in the South Hills Village Square at 7000 Oxford Drive, Bethel Park.

Godwin has been prolific as an organist, scholar, and composer having published several articles this year. His Nigerian Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra received its premiere in Costa Rica.
Answering the perennial question of what to do when you have just completed a double major in music and applied mathematics and are preparing to start graduate studies in piano performance at Mannes College the New School for Music, Andrej Savol (07) has taken up painting. Andrej was kind enough to send these photos of his first paintings (which he actually made on the backs of our old posters for the marquee at Bellefield Hall).
Congratulations to S. Alexander Reed (PhD 2005 in composition and theory) on his appointment to the faculty of the Graduate Theory Program at the University of Florida.
On April 29, our graduating seniors and their families enjoyed a pre-commencement brunch with music department faculty and staff. 07grads.JPG Pictured from left to right: (front row) Andrew Levin, David Hidek, Amy Feinstein, Emily Cain, Adam Rook, (back row) Tony Kovatch, Andrej Savol, Eric Roth, Phillip Lamperski, and John Goldsmith (Undergraduate advisor, Senior Lecturer in Music).
