FEATURING PERFORMANCE BY ATTACK THEATRE AND VIDEO ART BY KURT RALSKE

PITTSBURGH, PA (January 26, 2007)—Jonathan Eaton is no stranger to the world premiere, having staged the world premiere of several boundary-breaking operas in Pittsburgh during his tenure. Opera Theater takes it one step further as the 2006-2007 season comes to an exhilarating end with the world premiere of RedDust, an ‘opera electronica’ by Mathew Rosenblum, not only by premiering the work, but by having commissioned it with Sequitur Ensemble of New York. The opera features video art by Kurt Ralske and choreography and dance performance by Attack Theatre. Under the direction of Opera Theater Artistic Director Jonathan Eaton, the opera opens at the Andy Warhol Museum on Friday, May 18 and runs through Sunday, May 20. Tickets are available through ProArts, either by visiting www.proartstickets.org or calling 412-394-3353. Group discounts are available. (more…)
