Lorraine Milovac leads the Women's Choral Ensemble in a varied program including William Hawley's Salve Regina, folk songs from Russia, Madeconia and the United States, along with classics of choral literature such as Orlando Gibbon's The Silver Swan.

Pitt Choirs Concert
Heinz Chapel Choir, Men’s Glee Club, and Women’s Choral Ensemble perform together for a choral tour de force. The third annual Pitt Choirs Concert will include a wide variety of music from the Josef Rheinberger's Mass to the Beatles. All three ensembles will combine to perform John Goldsmith's arrangement of Irving Berlin's classic Blue Skies.

Women’s Choral Ensemble to Tour in Illinois
Most of us take advantage of the Memorial Day weekend to relax, catch up with friends, and fire up the grill, but not the members of the Women’s Choral Ensemble and director Lorraine Milovac. They’ll be working harder than ever as they give a series of concerts that weekend in the Chicago area.
According to WCE member Emily Polakowski the tour is, “significant for the choir as it will be our first trip outside of the area. We are very excited!”

Pitt Choirs Join 200th Anniversary Celebration of First Baptist Church
To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the congregation of First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, The Pitt Women's Choral Ensemble, Pitt Men's Glee Club and the Pitt Handbell Ensemble will present a concert of a cappella works, featuring pieces by Hassler, Golovanov, Szymko, Gregorio and the Beatles. The concert will conclude with the world premiere of Make a Joyful Noise, a newly commissioned work for this event by David N. Childs. Admission is free. A free-will offering will be taken.

The Women's Choral Ensemble presents sacred concert works, traditional carols, and popular holiday favorites, all in the midst of the beauty of Heinz Chapel. Selctions include Illumine Tenebrae by Joan Szymko, Svete Tihiy (Gladsome Light) by Paul Chesnikov, Mel Trorme and Robert Wells' holiday classic The Christmas Song, and much more.
